Ten Hag sends message to Man United youngster after breaking new record

Manchester United boss, Erik Ten Hag has admitted that he is not certain if youngster, Alejandro Garnacho would benefit from joining Argentina national team to the World Cup.

The 18-year-old winger scored his first goal for the Red Devils against Real Sociedad in the Europa League last week after forcing his way into the United’s first team.

The youngster came off the bench on Thursday night to provide two assists in the Carabao Cup win over Aston Villa.

Argentina boss, Lionel Scaloni has already named Gamacho in his 26-man squad for the World Cup starting in Qatar later this month.

“It’s difficult to say,” Ten Hag said of Garnacho’s World Cup prospects in the post-match press conference.

“I don’t know all the available Argentina players, of course I know a lot of players from Argentina, what is available for them from 26.

“I don’t know if that’s the right step for him. I think he has to keep his head clean, stay calm, work hard and develop, I think go from game to game.”
