Rashford threats to teammate finally revealed as Ten Hag introduces new changes
Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford’s threatening message to teammate Jadon Sancho finally revealed as Ten Hag introduces new changes.
After a laughable display in Sunday’s 6-3 loss to Manchester City, Rashford returned to prove himself with 2 goals and an assist in Thursday’s 3-2 Europa League win at Cyprus against Omonia Nicosia.
Having played in different positions under Ten Hag, it is apparent that the United forward has found the most success on the left wing.
Rashford’s linkup play with fellow substitute Anthony Martial drew comparisons to the legendary duo of Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole.
Knowing that Jadon Sancho plays from the left wing when asked which position he likes to play, he gave a diplomatic answer which, however, indicated his preference on the field.
“The left side is probably more natural for me. I enjoy doing both, I’m just helping the team,” he said.
“If we have injuries and stuff like that, you never know what’s going to happen, you have to be at your best to play in whatever position is needed.”
Obviously, new signee, Antony has secured the right wing position for himself, so Rashford’s comments apparently is a direct warning to Jadon Sancho who often plays from the left wing.

After his spectacular goals against Liverpool, Leicester and Sheriff, Sancho has rather dipped in the remaining seven appearances this season.
No doubt, he(Sancho) is a confident player, but that is not evident in his performance lately.
The combination of Martial and Rashford against Omonia yielded results and it is left to be seen if Erik Ten hag will leave either out of his starting XI when the Red Devils meet with Everton on Sunday.
Sancho was substituted at halftime against Omonia after another poor performance, even a blind man can sense that his position in the team is in jeopardy but we leave that to the manager to decide.
If the player is left out of the starting XI in the coming days then it can be said that Ten Hag is building a competitive team in most positions.
Meanwhile, as the manager makes his decision, Rashford’s five goals and three assists cannot be overlooked, and Sancho could be benched for the first time under Erik Ten Hag in the Premier League.
The 22-year-old cannot afford to remain inconsistent again this season when the hit is on and others are in line to take his position, it is a beautiful healthy competition that has been lacking at Manchester United for a long time.
