Potter releases new update on Aubameyang ahead Crystal Palace game
Graham Potter releases new update on Aubameyang ahead of Crystal Palace game.
New Chelsea manager, Graham Potter has shared his thoughts on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and stated that he’s looking forward to working with him.
“Looking forward to working with him, I’ve enjoyed working with him in our brief time together. He’s a good guy, focused, wants to do well, wants to play, wants to score. Looking forward to it.
“…he has got nothing to prove to me or anything negative in that regard. His career is his career, I have huge respect for that. My job is to help him enjoy his football, help him be part of what we’re trying to do here. He’s acted as a top professional, top person. He’s acted as a top professional and person. Looking forward to working with him.”

When asked about the biggest challenge he sees ahead, Potter had the following to say;
“We’ve got six weeks, 13 matches and quickly it’s understanding all the players and using them in the right way. Winning football matches in the toughest league in the world with the Champions League as well. That’s going to be the challenge in the short term that I’m thinking about.”
But in the end, while addressing the change around the club, Potter had to shade other big spenders who’ve won nothing in recent years. Below are his exact words.
“The challenge, a bit more than short-term challenge, it’s how you align the resources you have, how you align the football idea with everything you’ve got and make it successful. The past, resource or history doesn’t guarantee you anything in this league. There are lots of clubs that have spent lots of money and haven’t achieved things that they maybe wanted. It’s about getting everything lined up and strategy clear”.
