Moises Caicedo Finally Reveals Why He Will Choose Man Utd Transfer Over Chelsea Or Liverpool
Brighton star, Moises Caicedo has revealed that he prefers playing for the Red Devils to Liverpool or Chelsea, however, Erik Ten Hag is set to face competition from Chelsea and Liverpool for the Ecuador international.
Ahead of the winter transfer, the 20-year-old midfielder has already made it known that he would prefer a transfer to Old Trafford over a move to either of Manchester United’s two Premier League rivals.
Beginning in 2021, Brighton acquired Caicedo from the Ecuadorian club Independiente.
The Seagulls loaned him to Belgian club Beerschot at the start of the previous season in an effort to prepare him for life in the Premier League.
However, he returned to Sussex in January and went on to star for Brighton late in the previous season.
This season, he has started all six of his team’s matches and scored in the Seagulls’ 5-2 victory over Leicester earlier this month.
Caicedo’s performances have attracted the interest of a multitude of clubs.

During his time with Independiente, he selected the Red Devils as the English team he most desired to play for.
“My dream is to play for Manchester United because I like English football,” he said in 2020. “The pace is very high, and Manchester United are my favourite club.”
This is not the first time Caicedo’s devotion to United has been revealed. He has previously stated that he is a fan of Manchester United due to his compatriots Antonio Valencia and Paul Pogba, who have both played for the 13-time Premier League champions.
“As a midfielder, Pogba was always my favourite player,” the Ecuador international said.
“Manchester United was always my team because of Pogba and before that Valencia. He was a winger, then a right-back, and was strong, fast and very intelligent. He was the perfect player for the Premier League and if I can go on and enjoy a career like him, then it will be a dream.”
And last week, Valencia himself even got in on the debate over Caicedo’s future. “Hopefully Caicedo can go to a big team in England,” explained the double Premier League winner. “He is a humble boy – he was born to be great and hopefully he can come to Manchester United.”
Caicedo, who has only appeared 16 times for Brighton, is currently on international duty with Ecuador and played the full 90 minutes in Friday’s 0-0 draw with Saudi Arabia.
And after Tuesday’s match between Ecuador and Japan, the youngster will return to Brighton for Saturday’s Premier League match against Liverpool.
