Fabregas replies Canelo Alvarez over Messi threats
Former Spain International, Cesc Fabregas has slammed boxing superstar, Canelo Alvarez for threatening to beat up Lionel Messi.
Alvarez had slammed Messi, accusing the Argentine captain of disrespecting Mexico after their World Cup game on Sunday
La Albiceleste had defeated Mexico 2-0 in a crucial Group C fixture at the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the Middleweight boxing champion claimed that the Paris Saint-Germain superstar put the Mexico flag on the ground and wiped the floor with it.
However, a clearer view of the footage showed that Messi was simply taking his shoes off after the game with the Mexican flag on the ground.
Canelo said that Messi should avoid coming in contact with him in public but Messi’s former Barcelona teammate Fabregas has now defended the Argentina captain.

“You neither know the person, nor do you understand how a locker room works or what happens after a game,” Fabregas wrote on Twitter.
The former Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona star, Fabregas went on to explain that players put all shirts on the floor after games and that the shirts are usually picked up for washing afterward.
Messi and his teammates will now hope to beat the Robert Lewandowski-led Polish side in their next game to stand any chance of progressing to the knockout stages of the World Cup.
