Christian Eriksen has been pictured in Manchester for the first time since sealing a transfer for United.
Manchester United have made three signings this summer, though only one has been confirmed and unveiled; Tyrell Malacia.
Around a week ago, the club confirmed they’d reached an agreement to sign Christian Eriksen, while a deal for Lisandro Martinez followed shortly after.
Thus far, United are yet to officially unveil these signings, which seems a little weird to us. Perhaps the club are waiting for the right time. Perhaps we’re going to get some sort of double announcement over the next few days.
Well yesterday, some photographers spotted Eriksen in Manchester for the first time since signing for United. Typically, he was greeted by the rainy weather we tend to have up North!
It’s great to see Eriksen already getting comfortable in his new surroundings, though what counts most is what happens out on the pitch.
Rumours suggest Eriksen could potentially train with his new teammates for the first time as early as Tuesday, giving him a few sessions under his belt before next weekend’s final two friendlies of the summer.
At the very least, you’d hope that both Eriksen and Martinez will feature in at least one of these matches. They need to build up some match fitness as soon as possible, while also becoming familiar with their new teammates.
I really do believe Eriksen is going to be a huge hit for United. I also love the fact that this was a free transfer as there’s very little risk involved. The Dane is an immensely clever footballer who’ll absolutely make those around him better.
