Chelsea 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur: Fiery London derby ends in draw at Stamford Bridge

The London derby at Stamford Bridge between Chelsea and Tottenham ended 2-2, after a last-gasp header from Harry Kane salvaged a factor for the visitors.

Chelsea’s new signing, Kalidou Koulibaly, opened his scoring account after a high-quality strike from the part of the box. The defender was once left unmarked following a corner situation, and used to be in a position to convert the delivery from Marc Cucurella to make it 1-0. The traffic were no longer in the sport at all, as Chelsea performed confidently and aggressively.

Chelsea’s draw towards Spurs reminds us of a script we’ve come to recognize all too well

Spurs modified to a 4-4-2 in the second half, and in the end received again on stage terms. A shot from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg observed the lower back of the internet through the crowd to make it 1-1. Only 40 seconds before, Rodrigo Bentancur tackled Kai Havertz from behind and the decision used to be no longer given as a foul.

This resulted in a heated altercation between the two dugouts and managers. But, Chelsea were in a position to discover the lead again courtesy of Reece James. They had a number of possibilities to extend their lead, but some terrible finishing saved the scoreline as it was.

Their lack of scientific ending came lower back to haunt them once again. Eventually, Spurs have been in a position to get a nook in the remaining stage of the game, which was nodded on through Kane.

The Blues have dropped two factors from a prevailing position, late in the game at Stamford Bridge, as soon as again. Their domestic record hasn’t been up to the mark from the time Frank Lampard was in charge. And their collapse in opposition to Spurs used to be reminiscent of video games ultimate season where they let matters slip in the closing minutes, and ended up dropping points that they could’ve, and should’ve taken.
